Christmas Eve at the Open-air Museum "Old Village" in Sirogojno

Friday, 6 January, 2017 (All day)

Christmas, as the day of the Christ's birth, is one of the biggest Christian holidays. The Serbs celebrate Christmas for three days, but the first day is the richest in tradition. This year, we reconstructed the customs related to Christmas Eve in the Museum so many visitors were able to see the past customs related to the sacred tree or take part in rituals that were carried out in the main Museum building as well as try traditional meatless dishes that can be found on the Christmas Eve table.
